Events can be detailed or brief, with the former allowing practice, qualifying, heats, and main races, while the latter (the default mode) don't allow practice but offer "hot lap" sessions. In DTR2, careers are built by racing in series, which are, in turn, a collection of events. Career Mode demands a progression through the three classes of cars as you earn money to upgrade from amateur to professional status by improving and modifying cars and winning events. Quick Race lets you select a car, track, and the number and skill level of opponents without concern for the elements of building a successful career.
